10-4034 was superceded by 10-4108 (19352759) for 2023 model year (per the Service advisor , hope he is correct ) I waited 2. 1/2 hours for this fluid , from the sister Dealership when I was in for 1st service.

Not trying to be a pain in the butt .
FYI for those who want to know

From what I can tell 19352759 (10-4108) superceded 88863089 (10-4061) not 88862624 (10-4034).

This appears to be the new fluid for the non-limited slip differential (V6/I4).

88862624 (10-4034) is the Dexron fluid with the limited slip modifier.

Until I see any evidence otherwise I would be careful putting 19352759 (10-4108) in a limited slip differential.

^^^ this

I'd just stick [no pun intended] with the good old 10-4034, especially since it clearly states "contains limited slip friction modifier" on the box, unlike this new 10-4108 part.

I'll be looking into this Friday morning,as I have an Oil Change at the Dealership , so It 😆 ks like I waited 2 1/2 hours my first service, for them to not do a proper service. I don't have any typical characteristics of no friction modifier additive.

All ZL1s require the friction modifier additive: 10-4034.

I just checked in with my Service advisor for an oil change, he reassured me everything is done VIN specific , "so you have the correct fluid in the Diff ". I had the parts guy look up what Diff fluid my VIN called out , he showed me an printed out .

You could jack up the rear and place a 2x4 under each tire and have enough room to crawl under and get it done. Obviously, make sure that you put something under both front tires to ensure the car doesn't move while doing so.

I just back the car down the driveway and let the rear hang over where the driveway meets the road. Plenty of room for me to crawl under there.

And even then, the dealership has messed up with VIN specific parts. I think some users, in the past, have received incorrect part numbers for the rear diff, engine oil and various other parts.

GM updates their part numbers too damn much.

I got rid of my Travel Trailer but kept some stuff, one of the things being the giant leveling lego blocks. They worked but I could only drive up on 3 high. If it was 4 high it would have been perfect.

Even my wife (who never says anything like this) commented the other day boy that quick jack was sure worth the money. Lol After I woke up lol i could not agree more. I was shocked to say the least ha.

My diff just went out at 35000. still pulls the car but makes a new noise. The kinda goope maybe some small metal people see on the drain plug was more like mettle sharpeies slivers. So something has broke.

That job was kinda a pain. braces, exhaust, all have to come down to get to it. Then just no way to get another diff back up in there with out a transmission jack. there goes another 260 for that jack.

I feel so much better under the car with the quick jack, Still have some apprehension when crawling under.

One BIG caution is lift pads that go on the pinch weld. get the small ones and what ever you do tighten up the set screws!!!! They can swivel and down she goes.

when they say dont let it down to a half way point with out wheels or on a stop. They mean it!!! What a pain in the ass when one side went down with the wheels off. I though it was fine, I was wrong.

TY Kerry!

Also, forgot to mention, the fill bolt was basically clean, a little goo. And as expected the drain was pretty bad.

Glad I did the service.
