I saw the trailer/commercial last night. I'm not a gamer so I thought it was a cool movie. Boy was i disappointed!

Yeah I can see how someone unfamiliar with the game could think that. The game IS very cinematic in its execution, and the storyline is equally awesome

i never played ME1.. will i be lost bc this game does look really good.. im a halo guy myself.. thats bout all i play.

No they give you ME1's back story a bit before you really start the game. The only thing you will miss out on is that people that played Mass Effect 1 made certain choices in their games (Kill a guy or save him? Blow up a ship or don't? etc.) and if you still have your Mass Effect 1 saves, those choices will change the game a bit.

If you don't have a save, it just has a default set of choices that got made that you play along with.

I hope I explained that ok.....................
