For someone who claims to know something about business, you really don't.... The performance cars are NOT the bread and butter and profit makers for the manufacturers. The compacts, midsize cars, suvs, crossovers, and pickups are. This is where they make their profit. As far as the performance cars, you are Coming across as having the assumption that Ford is going to sit still. From the perspective I am seeing they are doing a much better job at keeping products fresh and improving them in much quicker cycles than GM. Just a basic example of 2 cars that are upcoming, Take the malibu and Fusion. They are both new in 13. The difference is the Malibu has been the same since 08, the Fusion, only since 2010. Also what is with GMs slow rollouts of different submodels. When the Fusion hits later this year you will have the 2.5, 1.6t, 2.0t and Hybrid available all at the same time with only the Plug in hybrid coming slightly later. With the Malibus you get the eco mild hybrid, then you have to wait months for the regular 4 cylider, then who knows how much longer for the turbo 4............. Ford has a better business plan period and is succedding where it counts. And you act like the Camaro is selling double the Mustang's amount each month when the truth is you are talking a very small difference of hundreds to around 1000 a month. The Mustang is still well more than profitable and is signifigant enough to the brand image that it is NOT going anywhere. Also while you are talking about Chevy's upcoming performance cars (the 130 and 140 are just concepts bud and probably will not even be built) lets look at Ford. They Raptor Pickup (where is GM's answer), the Focus ST (Cruze SS, oh wait........), Taurus SHO, (Impala SS? um, nope). Ford is just in better shape, it doesn't matter how you cut it or try to bend the facts.......
