Are the LT1s Still Scarce
Because my local dealer has 4 of them including the Wild Cherry and Crush Colors. Also a convertible. I keep hearing they are hard to find right now, but if your close to East Tennessee, we have a few.

I don't if they were all that scarce, but the low optioned LT1's do/did seem to be somewhat difficult to find. Obviously, the recent aggressive lease offering didn't help matters.

The good lease deals ended on Jan 4, but I'm not motivated enough to see if GM renewed them or not.

hardly ever see them around here. A dealer 30 miles south has a convertible LT1 for 42 and change. Otherwise the other V8s are all loaded 2ss convertibles pushing 52-55 grand!! Up in Tampa and Orlando area I saw a bunch of LT1 in inventory as well as 1ss and better prices too.
Sometimes watch deals on the 1ss though. Last fall when I was looking there was a dealer near me that had FOUR left over 2020 1ss and with the added dealer incentives it was only a bit more than an LT1. |

Deals are still pretty solid even on the 2021 1SS models. I was looking around at some LT1s and they are mostly around 34k-36k. Ended up with a wild cherry 1SS for 38.5k out the door. That was during the employee pricing stuff going on last month. MSRP was 43k.

Back in Sept a dealer 25 miles away had FOUR left over 2020 1SS models. With the dealer incentive and the GM cash back I think the price was around 37,000 for an automatic 1ss that also had NPP. Just 3 grand more than what LT1 was going for up in the Tampa area. I almost went for it. If you can find the right dealer that has 1ss that simply are not moving you will get a better deal than buying the LT1. Pay a tad more and get a better car. |

Dealerships truly cannot keep their hands off the options button.
I feel lucky to have found a LT1 without the extras that push the price back up into SS territory. |

I know a local dealer to me, they had 4 LT1’s and have 2 LT1’s now. It’s funny how dealer inventory works, you see people looking for a certain car in a region and there are none or very few, then someone in another region knows dealers who have a number in stock. Then that person is looking for something specific that there is none in stock yet it’s available in other regions to far to get the car from. It’s just like when people buy automatics because there were no manual’s and those looking for automatics can’t find auto’s but only manual cars. Or basically the same with options, people buying sunroof equipped cars when they don’t want a sunroof and then people looking elsewhere for a car with a sunroof are buying without. Bottom line is if you can definitely order your car.

Go to our local cars & coffee every Saturday. The car gets way more attention than the SS's around, surprises me buy I wasn't looking to impress just something to fool around with on the week end. One month old and I have 260 miles on it already. haha. My 2017 C7 ZO6/ZO7 I keep at my house in Florida only has 4400 miles on it. Really need to drive my cars more. My 2019 Colorado is mt DD with almost 35K on it now. |

I get it. I mean if the money is about the same why not just get the 1ss though with more options though. Trade in you'd get a tad more on it as well. If I was buying new and they had an LT1 locally at a great price I'd buy it too. I do prefer the badging and look of the front of the SS over the LT1 though. But if the deal is great I'd settle for an LT1 and used the couple extra grand in savings on some mods and that. My 2ss I bought used at a good price. If I were buying new there is no way I'd pay 45 grand or more for a 2ss over an LT1. |
