Quality Control Check

Hello everyone, when I checked on the order status of my Camaro via CHEVY CHAT I was told that it has been built and is undergoing routine testing and quality checks at the quality inspection center in Charlotte, MI. After searching around on forums I have not been able to find answers to all of my questions so I am posting here in hopes that they can be answered, and help someone else too.

1.) Do all Camaro's go through a quality inspection at the Charlotte location or are there only a handful?

2.) Will it come with additional miles because of this quality check?

3.) What is typically checked during these quality holds?

4.) Would my dealer be able to verify if it is truly in a quality hold or just a normal inspection that all cars go through?

Thank you for your help, ordering this car has been quite the roller coaster!

I recall reading some other posts about this. Not every vehicle goes through this, probably some representative sample of all builds OR in the event that another vehicle in sequence with yours failed the initial quality control checks at LGR.

From what I recall it usually only adds a few extra miles - might arrive with 6-7 miles instead of 3.

Charlotte, MI doesn’t ring a bell for me, but I recall that Rousch did some of these quality checks. Which I found somewhat amusing as when I was a big NASCAR fan back in the 90’s and early 2000’s Rousch was a big Ford team.

Here’s an older thread with some details. If your vehicle was ordered with stripes that may be part of it as well.

Right?? Charlotte, MI didn’t make sense to me either, that’s why I thought maybe the Chevy Chat representative was confused and it is just the normal quality check that all cars go through

I read through that forum as well, but I didn’t get any stripes of any sort on my car. I just got the wild Cherry paint.
