2020 GT500 drag results 1600 DA day

2020 Gt500 only runs mid to low 11's on 4 passes same 1600 DA day.

Hm, BlaqWhole seems to have gotten it right, no 10-second passes with the GT500 unless practically everything is ideal.

Even that red ZL1 beat it by a good 2-3 tenths here, running an 11.1, same bad prep, same bad DA. And the GT500 had drag radials (so no disadvantage even if the ZL1 had DR's, alas I can't see much on this phone). Yes, I know, the Camaro could've been modded, too, but the point is it did better even if it had some extra hp vs stock.

Watch it on a laptop.... thats why I posted this, the GT500 runs low 11's in average conditions, not easy to get into the 10's

This was what his 3rd time and the kid is far from consistent yet. Left lane had all the slowest runs. His one time in the right was his best and that was only leaving at 1,200 rpm I think? I was hoping he was going to take the right lane again and bump the launch rpm up but he went back to the left lane instead with no success. I'd like to see him race it again and put more heat in the tires and set launch at 2800-3000 rpm. If it still has issues down low, then I'd go back to the stock tires and start over from square one.

Oh btw, I saw a video of that red Camaro running from a different angle on the same day and he's got a lot more tire out back than that kids GT500 does. Who knows what else if anything?

Saw that vid.....that’s California Dragway, which blows(sucks)...... but it is only track for most of SoCal.
Track prep there is horrible and my car consistently runs .2-.3 tenths and 2-3 mph slower there when compared to a track in central CA I’ve run at. It does show when on a surface that’s less than good, GT500 can be difficult to launch well. Compare to this kids run in previous video where he ran 10.66 @ 133 mph(approx)

The GT500 Super Snake couldn’t hook for shit in any gear lol
