Very sorry to hear of her passing, she was a beautiful dog.
I would suggest checking the shelter to adopt another best buddy since so many nowadays need good homes. All dogs are therapy dogs IMHO.

My adopted Akita is currently imitating a 125 pound speed bump. Kinda loudly too after an early dinner.

If they only had one dog bed, one would be on the floor... but you give them two beds and they share!

My bestest friend ever...Wolfe, an Alaskan Malemute.
He came into our family when I was 15.
Here he is, with me, sitting on my 76 Blazer
Circa 1981.

Here are a couple of pics. of Reuben (aka "Rube", "Big Rube", "Little Rube", "Rooby-Doo", etc.). He's an 8-year-old Italian Greyhound / Chihuahua mix (there's actually a name for it: "Greyhuahua" lol!). He's 11 lbs. of muscle and speed. People think he's a puppy because he's so energetic. He's not too bright, but he's a sweetheart.
The second pic. is with his "sister" Ripley. She's a week apart from Reuben in age and we got them about the same time from two different shelters. She totally runs the show (as most cats do!) Good times!

Here's my Spot. He loves fooling around outdoors and I can understand him. He gets really upset if we suddenly cancel our weekend forest trip. Besides my vet said he need more activity and joint supplements like this. He's only 5 though.

I have had a few in my life time, 3 to be exact....my last, and probably the most special was Arwen....we lost her 2 1/2 years ago, she was 13. she was so special to me, there will never be another like her to me, and will never even try to replace her.
