I see a huge difference in the tail lights. The post on page 1 that shows the two tail lights on a red Camaro looks vastly different to me. The tint and black versus chrome housings are huge giveaways.

We all know now what's included in the RS package, and while $1200 seems steep, for a quality set of HID projector headlights it's not bad at all. If you've driven a vehicle at night with HID's, the RS package feels like a no brainer.

Hopefully there is not a rule about resurrecting ancient posts but I used the search function (like a good boy) and found this thread that answered my questions. (although I'm still not sure I see much of a difference) I wanted a 1SS with a sunroof and short throw shifter. Nobody within 50 miles had one. The closest was a 1SS with the RS package - no sunroof, but it did have the nifty dealer installed baggage net!!!! I really thought about walking away from it because I could care less about painted ditch molding, antenna, halos, tail lights, and wheels. The sunroof was 900 dollars as opposed to the 1200 RS package. Anyway, I basically got the RS package for free, but still wish I'd have held out for the sunroof.

Holy old thread. Anyhow, for 2012 and onward they made the RS tails standard on all models.

I dont see any questions. Are you just mentioning you bought a car that you really didn't want? Why? Return it and find the one you want, seriously. There are people here that'd be more than happy to help you look, in there http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10

Tell me one more time

One of the early post in this thread showed an SS without the RS tail lights, then a picure of the RS tailights, with an RS emblem. I have a 2011 SS with the RS package and definitly have the RS tail lights, but the emblem is a Red SS.
I will print the explanation and never ask again, but please walk me thru the SS vs. RS, red SS vs white SS, et al.
Thanks

I had a question about the difference in the RS v. LS tailamps and this post helped answer that. Other people mentioned the price of the RS package and whether it was worth it. I merely threw in my two cents.

Doing this off the top of my head so I'm sure I'll get corrected if I'm wrong.

1LT, 1LS and 2LS don't normally have a badge.
1LT, 1LS and 2LS with the RS package will have the red RS emblem.
1SS and 2SS will have a white SS emblem.
1SS and 2SS with the RS package will have a red SS emblem.

So if you see an RS emblem, it's a V6 with the appearance package. V8s will have different badges depending on if it came with the appearance package or not.
