I'm thinking this may be the route I'd like to go. Of course I'd love the chop of a cam, however at the price point, to me anything over 700whp is going to be tough to hook on the street, especially on a 305 (reg ZL1). I rather just fill up with 93 and go. Not deal with E-85 mixtures or methanol. Could you let us know the type of Intake air temperatures you're seeing at 12psi on the 2300? I'd like to compare it to stock 1.7 that is a mobile oven lol.

The last dyno pull the air temp only rose 9 degrees if I remember correctly. It recovers very fast as well. The next day I did another ZL1 with porter blower, 15 lbs, and direct port meth with 44 gph worth of nozzle and it rose 20 degrees during the pull. My car is a riot to drive. Even my 325 cup 2’s are up in smoke pretty easy. Lol. Like you I wanted to just run pump 93, no meth, no mixing, no heat issues.

Awesome information, thanks for keeping us posted!

How was the fit and finish of the kit? I am considering this kit, but only if I can fit in my garage as an amateur mechanic. Is everything you need included?

cheers

Setup made 12 lbs on the dyno. Car made 703 rwhp and 709 rwtq on 93 and NO meth. Fueling looks good here and I will work on timing tables on the street/track. Car will take another 3 degrees easy, but with the fuel limitation of the stock cam I want to inch timing in and watch fuel pressure. Air/fuel was half point rich also, but I’ll clean that up when I get on the street and can watch pressure.

Air temp and MAT temps is where this thing shines. Temps are much more manageable over stock blower. Very minor climb during the dyno pull and recovers well, something the stock blower doesn’t do well on the dyno.

I think the car will make 740 rwhp range with fueling and timing cleaned up. As long as stock fuel system allows it. Lol. With the pulley it’s running I’m not even scratching the surface of what this blower is capable of. Plenty of room to grow!
What numbers were you getting on the dyno before these mods?

Install is very easy on these cars. Kit is very nice and complete. If you get one and have any questions just hit me up, be happy to help.

I'm assuming the Maggie 2300 doesnt come with a tune right? Did you go Jannetty or? I dont think I would need a Voltage Booster for just a 2300 swap but I would want to make sure the tuner was reputable and that they werent going to turn off the Cat Overtemp etc.

I highly recommend Ted Jannetty. He was great to work with on my build.

Depends on which one he bought, there is a full version that comes with a canned tune and a cheaper tuner version that doesn't.

XXXZL1 is THE guy when it comes to tuning. He is the person some of these big shops call to ask questions lol. And the voltage booster, we are going to start running these to help stabilize low side fuel pressure. JRE uses one on every build and they are pretty strait forward. Installing mine this weekend

Ted is top notch all around! I tune for a living so that was the easy part for me. Lol. You won’t need any fuel mods if only doing the 2300. If your planning on going over 670-680 rwhp the JMS voltage booster is a really nice piece to clean up low side fuel pressure.
