Back to Blowers….OP, I recommend that you contact Mr. Jannetty or another shop with lots of experience with LT motors. All that most of us on the forums can do is tell you about our experience with whichever blower we have. Personally, I have a 2300 Maggie and am very satisfied with both the quality and performance. Be that as it may, the Maggie is the only blower I have experience with so who’s to say I wouldn’t have liked one of the other options better. Someone like Ted has installed dozens of examples of every blower out there and can tell you about all the pros & cons.
There are a lot of good options out there; frankly, it is difficult to find anyone who is not pleased with the product that they ultimately choose. I expect you will also be happy too regardless of which way you end up going.

So on a stock to mostly stock LT1, running in the 8-10PSI range, what is the performance difference you have seen with a 2300 vs a 2950?
That in mind, at what point does the 2300 become a less viable choice, in terms of compressor efficiency & power capability? I ask because I am leaning toward a PD type system for a few reasons & as all things seem to go with projects I personally could see wanting to go north of 700RWHP. I guess what I’m saying is I see the 2950 being used in the EForce now & if that blower say makes 20 less HP or Tq in the lower manifold pressure ranges, without any bad side effects like say compressor surge, yet allows for much more power capability later on, I could see myself going that route. |

Now if 700 RWHP is your goal you will need our JRE Super Street Brawler package makes 710 RWHP on 93 octane and features the TVS 2300. This same power package on E-60 makes 750 RWHP easy. I feel the 2650 should be reserved for 800 RWHP plus builds. I would be open to substituting the 2300 for a 2650 in our Super Street Brawler package. I have everything in stock if you are ready. On the LT you will often find the limits of the fuel system long before you find the limits of the blowers. Ted.

I’ve followed some of your responses & when I’m ready to turn it up, & probably do a drop-in piston/rod kit, I will up the fuel system at the same time. I do not have Eblend readily available near me so it will strictly be ran on 91-93 octane. I’m not putting 800+ outside my eventual goals. |

If I were starting over, one thing I believe I would do is to look into trading my car for a ZL1 before getting started. Once you're North of 700hp, your existing wheels and tires will be totally useless, your brakes will be marginal, if you drag race any at all, your stock driveshaft and axles won't be happy for long. Around 700 up is also where the LT1 pistons and rods get a little iffy. You will also need ZL1 high and low side pumps and injectors. By the time you add all this up, you can probably pick up a used ZL1 with comparable miles to your existing car and it will already have all this stuff. If you're an auto guy, you will also get the A10. One more advantage is you can sell the stock blower for a couple of grand. I did all of my own work and I would still start with a ZL1 if I had it to do over again. If you pay a shop, I don't think you will ever make the business case for starting with an SS.
