Water in the fuel system?
Aside from poor acceleration, shuddering, stalling, crap fuel economy, etc.....Is there a way to know if there is water in the fuel system. Such as inspecting the injectors for damage, sampling fuel from the tank or fuel filters?
I'm asking because a gas station local where I filled up while tracking my car was recently tagged by the Dept of Ag and Consumer Affairs for ground water seeping in to their premium tank. Don't want to sleep on something if there is a way to assess for damage in case I need to make a claim. Thanks in advance. |

Sampling your fuel in the tank s the best way. Water being heavier will sit at the bottom. You can siphon some from the bottom if the car is sitting overnite and see what you have.
