I never said it would, and I agree with you. Just stating stuff I've seen.

The 2022 ZL1+ cars OEM tune has a higher torque limit in the tune so it is less limiting than prior years. However, fueling, spark etc is all the same.

Does this mean its faster? I would guess not. Unless there are scenarios where the 2021 and lower years are hitting torque limits and the ECU pulls timing or throttle to keep it in line. The 2022+ cars do not have the same limit.

They make the same power bone stock on my dyno. Get a ringer every now and then, but they are pretty consistent.

So again, in stock trim this wouldn't matter.

Even if 22+ are faster than previous years, it wouldn't be of any significance. Unless you're one of those that likes to talk about what a car can do on paper while it sits in your garage on a battery tender.

From what I have found, the Sharkskin ZL1's are the fastest. And no, it's not because I own one, it's because I own one.

This was a FarmerFran Approved (TM) statement

I agree.

Honestly it looks like they gave the 2022+ cars a little more tolerance for increased airflow mods without running into torque limits. Who knows if that was the purpose or not by GM. I'm sure we will never know.

Tire pressure, ambient temp, driver, road surface/quality, all a part in those times anyway. Likely none are directly comparable, because places don't test a car against itself
