Im glad they're still making an ICE but I have no intention of buying one anytime soon. The 6th Gen is plenty and has plenty of potential, I see no need to switch.

Its funny I had a 2002 Camaro and a member of this forum. 2 months after the end of Camaro then, this place was a ghost town. Camaro's were on every used car lot in the country. The flood came so fast the resale crashed and dealers did not even want to take them as trades. So never say never and lets see if history repeats itself..

I just can’t see myself adapting to the odd squared off display / interior gamer / electronics superstore look and feel. So, no plans to purchase.

I will never own a Mustang. Ever. Even if any one of them was given to me, I would immediately pass it on. Totally a preference. I'd rather drive a Chevy Spark than a Mustang. I own a 01 4x4 Ranger, so it's not total Ford bashing. I just think the Mustang is lame. Always have, always will. For muscle cars, I'm bowtie all the way. I like the Mopar offerings, but will always pick GM first.

I like the changes they made for 24’. I’m open to a Mustang if I can’t get a 6th gen Camaro built, or pay MSRP for a Camaro on a lot that checks most off the boxes.
Only Ford I’ve owned was a 89 5.0 LX manual coupe. It wasn’t the looker that my 70Z was, but it was definitely fun to drive- and reliable. |

Given that Ford will still making a V8 muscle car till 2028 and the charger and challenger going V6 and camaro coming to an end it's a safe bet Ford will be gaining new customers.

A base C8 with the Z51 package can be had for 70K The 1LT trim level interior is better than any mustang. I will give you the no manual trans thought, but remember the C8 has the great DCT trans and the blue oval guys know why the DCT is used in the GT500 also with a no manual option. The C8 wins many times over in all performance areas and is the best bang for the buck period.

I have had a 2010 GT and a 2012 GT. This time around when I was looking to get back into a muscle car I was looking at the 2022 mustang but I just didnt like what they did to the front end. The headlights made it look droopy and soft.
I have never owned a GM and never thought i would because most of the cars they offer always seem like junk and when I gave the Camaro a look I immediately liked it more because it had a much more sinister look like it should. Now with the 24 Mustang the exterior looks good but I would never buy it because of that interior alone. That glued on screen of an afterthought looks like dog shit and I would never want that in a sports car. IN a crossover its fine.

Nothing wrong with being an unbiased enthusiast. I don't think Chevy will lose Chevy customers but Ford will gain foreign customers. There will be enough used product on the market to appease Chevy and Mopar die-hards.

Closer to $75k MSRP once you add the $1,895 Magride and then another $1000-$1500 since you have to upgrade the horrible base wheels. That is assuming you can find a dealer to sell you one at MSRP. It is possible but typically a 12-18 month wait. If you want one sooner, there are plenty available at about $20k over MSRP. No question the C8 is on a different level than a Mustang but if you talk to a lot folks that own the new C8 Stingray, it is just ok to drive. It has more of a GT setup in Stingray form, not nearly as visceral as a ZL1. You can barely hear the dual mode exhaust and the DCT only option limits the amount of driver engagement. The Z06 helps fix that by giving it more character with its flat plane crank and exotic sounding exhaust but now you are talking big $$$. The reality is most buyers could care less about the lap times, if that were the case the Camaro would have outsold the Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang, but it didn't.

I would really wish GM would at least say something. Dodge has the whole "e-muscle" thing and now were know where Ford stands with the refreshed Mustang and you know more high performance variants are coming. GM should share some sort of vision for the enthusiasts, even if it is EV based. Do something other than Equinox, Blazer and Lyriq. I guess the Corvette is enough for them but that leaves out a large segment of enthusiasts in the $40-$60k price bracket.
