BANKS iDASH ALERTS ???
Hey team, wondering what some safe alert setting would be?
Not sure if these are good, wanted feedback… Oil pressure below 25? Maybe IAT3 above 150? AFR below 11.8 ? Thoughts? Can you share yours? Should we set alerts for timing? Fuel rail pressures? Etc?

I have an iDash but have never set an alert except shift point/shift light. Just to save me the aggravation...what is the procedure? I have fuel rail pressure, MAT, ignition timing, rpm, boost, ethanol %, & speed visible.

I've got an alert set for 27psi oil pressure, because mine has always idled above 28 since new. Also, if you did AFR it would alert all the time due to coasting, or punching it and then letting off, it bounces around too much to make it an alarm on the idash I'd think. I monitor rpm, ethanol%, oil pressure, low side pressure, high side actual pressure, high side requested pressure, and timing advance.

I was never able to find the parameter for low side fuel pressure. But I have the following alerts set:
Oil pressure <28PSI E/Alcohol % >60 (this will be changing after next tune) Coolant Temp >195° Speed >70MPH

Injector Pulse width exceeding >6.0ms
low oil pressure <25psi AFR >12.6 Would be worth having alerts for. I wouldn't worry about IAT 3, the ECU will pull timing as needed to keep it safe if tuned correctly. And if you are running Ethanol it's not really a factor unless you are going above 170. I know guys that run non intercooled turbo setups @ 25psi and don't pull anything until 200. They are on good E85 though.

Default is 132 which is conservative even on pump. On E blend can go about 40 degrees higher and still be safe.
