BEST CATCH CAN ????

I understand that the word BEST is subjective, so I'd like to clarify that im looking for a catch can that...

A: Prevents as much OIL from entering the blower as possible.
B: Allows me to remove as MUCH of the ugly PVC system plumbing as possible.
C: Is easy to install (don't want to lift the blower at the moment)

Perhaps all can be achieved by one? or am I dreaming?

Installation of any catch can will require lifting up the blower. There’s no way to get around it because of the design of the LT4 PCV system.

Mighty Mouse and Elite are the two most commonly used. This question has been discussed to death if you search the forums.

Elite. But you will have to lift the blower.

Their mounting bracket kind of sucks. I had mine tack welded underneath at the bolted joint you see in the picture, as I was concerned that it would twist a bit over time.

Mark - Elite sells a front mount bracket now, I moved the blower coolant reservoir to where you show the cc pictured

+1 on Elite - performance has been great

Honestly the best style catch can that can accomplish 2 things is the best can. The Mighty Mouse wild does away with the pcv completely. It allows any excessive blow by pressure to be vented via top filter and then rest of use it performs like other cans. Catches oil and connects to vaccuum by throttle body.

Anyone running high boost should really have a way to blow off any excessive blow by pressure and the wild can does just that.

Would you happen to have the part number for the front mount bracket and a photo of your install? I asked Elite about one last month but the photo they provided showed the bracket mounted just under the throttle body and my 2018 ZL1 looks nothing like their photo.

Elite does the same, but the flow restrictor is installed under the blower where it belongs

Which is a half ass way to manage flow through the can and may be a reason to deny a warranty claim or fail an emission test. Elite does it the right way. Entirely closed loop so there is no way a (rational) dealership should deny a warranty claim

Elite sells a larger can for high flow/boost applications

You have to call them for information on the front bracket, I can post a pic of my set-up if interested

I've been emailing with Steve@Elite but will call them in the morning. Much appreciated if you could post a picture of your setup. Thanks!

This makes absolutely 0 sense. The flow is one way, there's nowhere for blowby gasses to go. Apparently you have no idea how a closed looped PCV system works. Nor does it have anything to do with warranty claims.

Just keep riding your bike instead.

No shop in their right mind is going to put a closed loop can on a 1000hp car with high boost.
