ZL1 vs Z06 exhaust?

Can anyone tell me if they are exactly the same?
I absolutely love the sound of the Z06 and I am currently looking into buying a ZL1...

Not at all. To me, they sound similar but the exhaust systems themselves are completely different.

How exactly are they different? I had an SS and always wanted to know what was different between Corvette and Camaro exhaust.

The Z06 exhaust all exits in the middle of the rear diffuser versus the ZL1 which has a split dual exhaust. This alone means that the routing of the exhaust is going to differ. This also means that the muffler(s) used are different. The ZL1 also has that crimped section to clear the rear axle that many have noted. I agree that they sound similar and you'll be happy with the ZL1 exhaust note. But they are definitely different systems.
