I have liked every mod you have done. I know you are in Ohio and I just had a conversation with a police officer about tinting. He said the max tint in Ohio is 50%. I guess the lower the number the darker the tint?? Did the installer say this was a legal amount of tint? Your's looks VERY dark, I wonder how they will be driving at night?

Yes the ohio law is 50%, and yes the lower the number the darker it is. 20% = 20% light coming thru, 5%=5% light coming thru.

Mine is definitely illegal, but I usually 99% of the time drive with the windows down, and if they are up, and I see a cop they will be rolled down very fast. And, they are darker at night, but with HIDs not bad.

Just like my no front license plate I equate to "Cool Car Tax" meaning if I get a ticket for tint or the plate, Ill pay it and move on. It costs to keep it looking the way I want it. My friend just got busted for tint and no front plate and it was like $150. and hes been driving like that for 7 years. So, $150 every few years is no big deal. Ill pay that, no problem

Back window and the rear windows can be 0%. Think of a panel van, no back windows and no rear windows. The law is only for the front 2 windows and windshield in ohio.

I'm assuming 50% is a lot lighter, can you see the people in the car with 50%? I may take a change with 35% but not going to take a change with 15% even though I agree with your logic about just paying for the ticket. I would prefer to not give the police a reason to pull me over. I have a concealed carry license and carry a gun in all of my vehicles. I've had two really strange occurrences getting pulled over with my CCL. Once I was put in handcuffs and put in the back of a police car for rolling through a stop sign. The cop told me it was for HIS safety.

wow thats no good for sure. Id say tint it as much as your willing to deal with. You can see people in a 50% for sure. 15% not at all. If you dont want a reason to get pulled over dont tint it very dark. I just love the dark look.

thanks, I saw a few camaros at the mod day we just had in ohio, and everyone how had 20% or less wishes they would have gone darker too. And, one guy had 15% and it looked perfect IMO
