I think I might try this soon. Going to Vegas next weekend for our two year wedding anniversary. I'll have a few extra days leftover so I may give this a try.
One Q though. I have leather seats and I'm wondering if this dye cleans up if and when I get any on the leather itself. Also, how durable is the dye? Will it last a while before it needs to be reapplied?

Looks good austinjames.I did this mod about a year ago with an Elmer's fabric pen from Walmart, sure is easier to do on leather because you wipe with damp cloth as you go. The dye is holding up pretty good after a year.

Well done sir! I give you mad props... I did this myself yesterday; no way could I have had the patience to do cloth seats...luckily I had leather so it was a breeze.

Looks awesome austinjames!
I did mine in red with Sharpies, and the areas that are not touched look fine, but the areas where contact is sometimes made, (i.e. console, steering wheel, etc.) are faded. Perhaps I will redo mine using the product you used.

I did this with mine over a year ago using an aqua sharpie. If you just hold the tip of the pen to the thread lightly, it will wick the ink the length of the thread. Don't try to move the tip along the thread, just hold it still and watch the ink work it's way along. Once I figured that out, it went much easier.

Does anyone know how long this will last? Is it relatively permanent or will you have to do it again later?
