Mobil 1 Fill Cap

Does anyone know the GM part number for the oil fill cap with the Mobile 1 oil call out for the C7 ?
Non Z51 car, has wet sump oil system. Thanks OldJedi for the response.

There are two cap numbers. With and without dry sump oil system.

Check with the dealer. They should be able to supply that.

I now have the answer to my posted question for a oil fill cap for the non Z51 engine that says Mobile 1 and why there is so much confusion. THERE ISN'T ONE THAT SAYS MOBILE 1 from GM at this time.

Did you check with some owners from 2006 or so to see if their caps say Mobil1and fit your car.

Yes I know there are aftermarket ones made usually to match engine dress up kits. I was looking for something that looks stock or is from GM as my post states. GM does not make one. Thanks though for the input.

actually the cap you seek has been used in many applications within the GM house (Chevy, Buick, Caddy....etc) until I can lay my hands on a C7 non-z51 to verify the fit, but it can be found for less then $10. even at GMPARTSDIRECT.com, Amazon, and Ebay. but just by looking at the images. this will work.

GM P/N 12577268 (the current cap with dexos on it is 12643759)

I am told that the Z51 caps and the NON-Z51 caps are different sizes, but I can not verify that at this time. in fact I can't HONESTLY say that for sure this cap will fit the NON-Z51 cars, until I lay my hands on one.

if they cap you are looking at above LOOKs like the Z51 cap? I can tell you this cap is a 90° twist lock cap.....and the bottom side is 1-3/8" to 1-7/16th in. diameter.

did a little more digging and found another part number, 12593356, and in the GM OUTLET PARTS site, it specifically shows that it fits the 2014 Z51 Stingray.

at the top above the pic of the part is a " Make sure this part fits your car " link and when you drill down is shows it fits.

AND according to the description, that cap is the same one that came on the 5th Gen Camaro SS's, so if you know someone that has a SS Camaro. check out their car and see if their cap will fit your Z51 oil tank and report back.

I just had a buddy stop by, he has a Camaro SS.....so we popped the hood on his car, and my Caddy (3.6L D.I) and both caps are IDENTICAL in shape and fit.....so the final true test would be to go by the dealership OR find someone that has a Z51 and compare the two......if they are the same.....its a done deal and the part number above (12593356) will fit and have the MOBIL1 logo and print on it. The one in post #8 (12577268) will work as well, the only difference is the shape of the top.

I checked both out on the GM Outlet site and they both show for a Z51 and I would think if they fit both Z51 and non Z51 models it would show application for both not just Z51. So if anyone finds out they are both the same please post and the question is answered.
