The Plaid marketing release reads like they did nice work with extra cooling and souping up the motors to rev higher and draw power. The graphs make it look like they layer the motor powerbands, and use the front for highway efficiency.

Good straight shooter interview. Level 6 of 6 driver at GM. Like you say, he mentions the visceral connection missing, looking at the two-speed, the weight issue, 60-65% sticks being a surprise for CT5-V BW (would be for me also). He also touched on torque vectoring.

I'll serve up the question of making a driving value distinction between a torque-vectored EV, or a ZLE/BW using traction management and the E-diff, or driving slower times with no nannies?

That is a tough one. I think if you are someone who prefers the latest advancements in tech that enables you to be a hero then torque-vectoring EV with its ability to tune and tweak will be hard to beat. However, if you prefer the more raw mechanical feel then I think a traditional Torsen LSD is more enjoyable without the computers getting in the way.

The e-diff is great tech but it will feel dated compared to the control you get via torque vectoring an EV motor at each wheel.

LOL and the only proof of that is Trump told you so.

And another EV thread steers wildly away from discussing performance cars into politics. Closed in 3………..2…………

Maybe a cross between Soylent Green and Logan’s Run.

Will it be closed though? Sometimes it feels like the mods have left the building.

im not interested in talking politics...lets stick to the pros and cons of EV ownership.plenty of topic for discussion there.not saying it wouldnt be interesting to see how many senators and congressmen have invested in clean energy and stand to make a great fortune if it succeeds. though with the difficulties california is facing clean energy might not be a reality for another 50 years or so.im not one to say i would "never" own an electric car or moan about the lack of V8 sound, but my wifes 2018 civic coupe is fairly sporty, gets 35 mpg around town, and utilizes proven technology.

The majority of people want to have a choice. I have been told recently that if you are not with the majority, you are an "extremist"
