When you upgrade all the spindly suspension pieces, and firm up the rear bushings in the regular ZL-1, the car pretty much achieves the best possible handling the chassis is capable of without spending a fortune. The stock pieces are major weak link in this car, and the improvement is dramatic.

Since I ended up with BMR rear toe lock outs, I ended up with a full BMR set for the rear of my car. All installed, aligned and ready for the track.

Someone else will have to answer about being necessary for track days or not. Thats not my sand box.

As for NVH... ZERO for the back end bits... I was worried about the motor mounts, but have been presently surprised the change was almost undetectable for me. but the power transfer feels much better to me. The motor feels more responsive. Im happy i did them.
