I'm actually concerned reading that 3 people in this thread have already had the same issue and had theirs replaced? Should we be getting a formal recall for these TVS 1900's or what? You don't pay $60k to be dealing with crap like this, quite frankly I'm a little irritated on being without the car for 1 week and have a major install like this done on a new car with only 10k miles.

I was only teasing, I feel your pain. I was irritated over the coupler noise, I switched mine out for a solid. My engine builder said the 1900 is a very reliable blower. I'm sure when they mass produce mistakes happen. I had my blower ported, added a cam and all kinds of mods, and she's been solid as a rock 700+ to the wheels. I do understand though. I hate the thought of the dealer "digging" into my engine. I don't understand why they would drop the engine. They removed my blower to add a cam and port the blower and snout without dropping anything. They removed the front clip to slide in the cam and add my super chiller

They told me the same thing, it's the coupler/ isolator spring. I put a solid coupler in, zero noise!

It was probabaly a bad manufacturing run of the blowers initially. If it will make you feel better I just dropped off my 2013 with 2161 miles on it this morning at Glendora Chevrolet to have the rear lower control arm replaced along with scratched up and slightly misaligned front and rear right side wheels, complete with re-aligning all four corners! I will be without it for at least a week I'm guessing depending on how fast they can repair and repaint the wheels. Non warranty! Curb-1 wheels-0.

OMG AT LEAST THREE people have the same problem.
IMMEDIATLY DEMAND, don't ask, DEMAND and IMMEDIATE recall of EVERY SINGLE Zl1 ever produced, and DEMAND they ALL get replaced with BRAND NEW ZL!'s with a different model SC because these must ALL be bad.

Guys the noise your hearing is not the coupler.. it rattles but it does nt make whinging noises.. the bearing behind that goes dry. It does not even go bad.. its a easy fix but gm does not consider the blower a serviceable item..

The snout can develop a leak if not sealed perfect to the case and can cause a vacuum signal that can suck the grease out of the needle bearing in the front of the rotor.

This is not really gms fault. They dont build the blower.

I was told it will. Who would know. The supercharger is not serviceable, they just swap them out. Keep the spring, you throw a rod or something ridiculous you put the spring back in. Just don't kiss and tell.
