LOL your room mate is a retard. 4k to replace new turbos? You can buy those turbos for a few hundred a piece and do it himself. I believe they are a K04, cheap and dime a freaking dozen.

If you build it right then it's as reliable and dependable as the factory version and a boat load faster.

I know many of those people that you mention. They are never satisfied and push the car and their components past the safe point. I have purposely built mine to avoid their mistakes as that would not be fun for me either. So far its run like a top.
