I plan on being adventurous this winter as my Camaro is my DD. Even though I live in Colorado that just means washing it more than usual to get off all the damn salt. Also hoping that I have a good blend of coolant/water in my rx7 so it doesn't burst, to me that is my second car. It's the race car

Man, that Silverado is sweeeet. And I have to ask a dumb question. Why dry the car by driving/using a leaf blower before storage? Why is normal drying bad(chamois etc)?

Mine sits on two sheets of Tyvek when she sleeps the long sleep. It's fairly cheap at Lowes or Home Depot, and makes for a nice insulator from the cold cement garage floor.

I'm not looking forward to winter so much this year. Last year, we had a decent amount of snow here in Texas, however, my wife was out of work, so on snow days, I just took her 2010 Jetta to work. Handled the snow fine.

However, she is back at work now, so this year, if we have snow, I'll have to drive the Camaro in it... have to just be slow and safe this year.

Living in the south rocks! As soon as we moved to AZ from South Dakota the first mission was to convert all my vehicles to rear wheel drive Chevy small blocks!

But seriously you will want to move it around a bit. I met a "snowbird" down here who left his car from April thru October. When he got back to AZ in October he started having vibration problems. As it turned out all of the tires had gotten permanent flat spots.

It also help the tires if you put a piece of carpet or cardboard under them. Just laying on bare concrete the tires will dry rot quicker.

Glad to see I'm not the only one in the snow belt that goes through the year ! I just don't use her on the snow days or when the road is really salted. I just try to stay consistent and wash her ever week !

I'm lucky we have a 2-stall carport (attached between home and shop) and the shop building is big enough for 2 cars. The Camaro gets to nap the winter away and my 91 mazda 4x4 pickup takes the winters abuse.
I'm not afraid of driving in the winter, I know what to do. It's the other idiots out there, and the sand/salt that basically sandblasts salt into the car that I dislike.

I also live in Denver and plan to drive my Camaro year round. My set of winter wheels/tires will arrive in a few weeks. I love this car and want to keep it looking great...but as mentioned above, it is a Camaro...not some exotic. Plus in Denver it will even get warm enough in the winter to occasionally drop the top! Plus these cars do come with heated seats right??? Be safe.
