Starting N20 project
So after much debate I've finally settled on the path I'm going to take with my personal car. I have nothing against FI or H/C at all but I want a setup that will work well whether I'm on the street or at the track. My car is FBO and to be honest on a street tire 1st gear is useless and 2nd is hit or miss. So the plan is...
- retain FBO setup for 99% of the time I don't need more TQ/HP - have PRAY port the MSD - get the MSD plumbed for direct port - install dual bottle setup - install separate 1 gallon fuel cell for E85 with aux pump (may run race grade E85 here) With this setup there is no reason to enhance the factory fuel system. I can run full E85 off and on the spray and not worry about fuel pressure or injector window issues. And the intake valves will get a cleaning here and there I will try and do this in a way I do everything else... clean and well thought out. If I can achieve the system I want I will probably market it as a complete package. I'm also going to test out some things to see if I can get the ECM to pull timing automatically when the system is engaged without having to swap tunes in and out. Comments/thoughts are welcome. If you and make it, it will no doubt be a high selling kit. Everything you do is top notch.

Thanks. My goal is to make it as plug and play as possible with the key safety measures in place. Cheap and dirty is not the right way to do nitrous.

Here's a universal tank from Nitrous Express. The pump, regulator, and plumbing retail for another 500-600 bucks to complete a standalone fuel system. So roughly $1000 bucks for that, then there's the question of how you deliver the nitrous by either a window switch or a progressive system. A progressive system would be alot better but wheel hop could still be an issue. So a one piece drive shaft and upper and lower control arms should be a high concern. A full hit on a window switch , its 50/50 on just how much the stock stuff will absorb. Then there's the AFM lifters. As I'm told , they seem to not like anything above a 175hp shot of nitrous. Im yet to 100% verify this however....
