L99 Brian Tooley cam conversion
For a 2015 Camaro SS automatic w/ L99, what is needed when adding a BTR Brian Tooley cam shaft? Do I need to remove all L99 parts? Is that recommended? I already have an Airaid CAI and TSP Texas Speed 3” exhaust/mufflers connected to factory manifolds and cats.

For certain you'll need to use stronger valve springs, some people upgrade the cam tensioner, and the lifters. I don't know if the pushrods are the same length and what lift your cam is, if the stock ones will be strong enough or you'll need those too.
I might be wrong on needing a better tensioner with the Variable Valve Timing as I don't recall if it uses that breakage prone spring loaded one like the other engines. |

You'll need to replace the lifters because the stock AFM lifters suck and are prone to failure when higher lift cams are used. Proper length pushrods.
Valve springs matched to the cam's lift specs. Older LS2 Wedge style timing chain dampener to replace the stock tensioner. This is at a minimum of basic parts but you need more stuff thats a bunch of smaller things. Just look up GPI, they have complete kits with all the fixins you need. And it all comes down to your goals and intent, because that will make a big difference and determine whether you need a converter, trans cooler, flycutting the pistons, and additional peace of mind/insurance upgrades. Have a look at my build thread and it will show you what mods I've done to get a better idea, and give one of the reputable shops a call to spec it and price it all out. Good luck

We have complete kits if you need them. The main parts that need to be replaced are the valve springs (dual springs are almost always needed), the pushrods, the lifters and you'll need dod delete plugs and gaskets. If you need help hit us up. We're always glad to go over stuff like this.
