Ceramic coating will help keep heat off the surrounding areas of the car, plus help keep the heat in the exhaust pipe.

Yup, just as Joshinator said, to keep the heat down in the engine bay as much as I can. With the modifications I have been making and plan to make the 2.0T is pretty stressed out...it gets hot in that engine bay!

Additionally, keeping the heat in the pipe raises the speed of sound and theoretically will help performance...but I doubt it’d be anything noticeable.

Also, ceramic coating is just cool :-)

Finally got around to filling my car up with some E85. Absolutely love flex fuel!

Where did you get E85 in MA? The only spot in Central MA is the Charlton rest area on the Mass Pike.
