Ordered Part #23404791 to squeeze in a brand new quad-tipped Borla S-Type Axle-Back kit! I ended up going through my dealer to order it. Some parts distributors I looked at wanted more than the cost of the part for shipping, so I payed the dealer around 30 bucks more for the part but with free shipping.

Pics to come in a little more than a week!

Left it at home, might be storming this afternoon and I don't feel like washing it again. Went to a pool party over the weekend, didn't plan on swimming however as I'm not a fan having almost drowned twice as a kid. Anyway... after a few drinks my dumb ass is reaching for a ball and *sploosh* in I went Spent the rest of the night swimming in my underwear. When it was time to head out, didn't have towels or a plastic bag to put over the leather, so stripped completely except for sneakers, threw my wet shorts in the trunk, and drove home bare ass with the wife laughing hysterically the whole way while she had some dry clothes to sit on.

The A/C was cold. Real cold.

The leather always takes priority.

Just received door and console black suede knee "pads" for my son's 17 RS. Look great, feel good, but GM used the word "pads" very loosely. Little to no padding between suede covering and the plastic, but better than the plain black OE parts in the 1LT. Only took about 5 minutes to switch out. MSRP $325. Great deal, info, and service from shop chevyparts.com, sale price $243.75 plus 5% off for being new customer. Received in 5 days when ordered last Friday. Will buy from them again.

I ordered a set of the MRR M017 1LE wheels, always loved the look of the 6th Gen 1LE wheel, one of the best in a long time.

I bought a set of Khalahari pads to match my seats from them. I haven't put them on yet. I have the 2LT, so I'm not sure if the original pads are any different than the ones that come with the 1LT, RS, 1SS. If so they might be of some value to someone as an upgrade.

Are the OEM 2 LT pads you are removing black leather and feel "padded"? Have you compared the thickness of your Khalahari ones to these? Don't get me wrong I like the improvement in look and feel of his new suede to the 1LT plain black plastic but I expected more padding. Thanks.

They feel pretty much identical to the brown ones and color is the only real difference I can tell. As far as any padding goes, it has to be very minimal on both sets. I don't know if either set is real leather or fake, but both have the appearance of leather. The stitching is the same.

Thanks much for the reply. His new black, suede ones will stay in use along with the RS floor mats he got for Christmas. Plain plastic 1LT ones join his front only black OEM floormats in the shipping boxes if needed for future use. I guess if I want more padding for my knees I can go drive my 81 year old Mom's Lincoln Towncar. Ha!

I'd like to know more about what you used... which plasti-dip, and did you use the 'metalizer' or the 'glossifier' over the base coat blue?

But I hope you realize just how incredibly unsafe those "accessories" are. Mounting heavy, steel objects, at eye-level is a potentially deadly mistake during a collision or sudden impact. For your sake and the sake of any potential passengers, I hope you reconsider those mounting points. Perhaps the trunk would be a better spot?

Again nothing major I tinted my tails and side markers in the rear. I forgot to do the middle brake light so I will get to it when I do the front side markers. The Rustolium (sp) spray tint bubbled and was hard to work with but I can live with the results. Now after I move and get settled I can really start modifying this car.
