That is true, but 100% of the time you will play hell convincing the clerk of that. It is even worse when you try to get parts for an engine that did not come in the car you are asking about.

Thanks all. Didn't want to start another LS3 / L99 Debate. I was searching to do some price checking for a decent set of Plug Wires in red when I came across this. I wouldn't think such an item would be any different between a LS3 / L99.

Never noticed what the codes were. Interesting the mix of Auto to Manual. 2/3 of all SS cars in 2013 were autos.

My code is a "p". For some reason it made me think of :p which does not translate to a smile on this site.

In that case check here:

Great service and CC Performance still may be a vendor on here. You might consider Granatelli wires as well. I believe those come in multiple colors.

Thats why I tell them what works. I don't give them the option of being convinced. If it doesn't matter I just pick the first option and move on. If It's an engine swapped car. I use the car the engine came out of. I use to work at an Advance Auto Parts in New Jersey. It was common to have people come in with engine swaps. When I greeted them My first question was what they were looking for, if it was an engine part I asked them what the engine was out of. I would enter the info for the donar car, not the actual car. It really wasn't that difficult. One of our regular customers had a Fiero with a Ford 302 and a Caddy FWD tranny in the back. It wasn't that hard to figure out what he needed after taking for a few minutes. He was also smart enough to bring the part in so we couold look for part numbers to cross reference and to compair the replacement part too before he walked out.

I agree it is not hard at all, and that is the approach that works. You, my friend, are much better at that job than many of your co-workers!

Gen5 - 2015 Camaro SS - Brakes

I am thinking of buying this brake set. I have factory Brembo brakes. Any input would be appreciated...

You couldn't find a two speed auto like grandma's, either.

Six speed auto > six speed manual.

I think you've got a little typo there, you meant to put a < instead of a >. Let me fix it for ya:

Six speed auto < six speed manual.

Much better!
