I'd like to see the anti-2A spin on this considering the police hit way more innocent bystanders than the shooter did (none). Also shows how well that ridiculous, and as far as I'm concerned, unconstitutional, firearms ban works in NYC.

That being said I was in NYC (Manhattan) for work last spring. The local cops seems alright enough the several times we chatted with them. Just hope they are getting proper training to minimize shooting more bystanders.

16 shots fired, (9&7)... 10 hit the target, 3 bystanders struck by whole bullets, the rest by fragments.

Both officers ~15 yr NYPD veterans... considering the circumstances, not bad. Hindsight always has new lessons to give us, but as a whole, well done.

Just shows that if the bad guy wants a firearm, they'll get one.

That's what I don't get. Why would anyone want to use a duty pistol with that heavy of a trigger pull? Do they have a problem with officers walking around with their gun out of the holster with their finger ON the trigger? If not, then there's no need to have that heavy of a trigger pull.

How do you miss the target 6 times when you're only about 10 feet from him? He didn't exactly look like a skinny individual, either...

Have you ever been returning fire while fired upon in the open with no cover?

Ive returned fire while being fired upon behind cover, more than once, and at no time was it as simple as lining up your sights and pulling the trigger......its not at all like in the movies or on the range...not even close....
