Maybe, maybe not. At least the race will be closer. As it sits right now, the SS guys have to go up against the GT500, or Terminators, to get a race from a Mustang. Go figure??? Us v6 guys can play with the current GTs, although we won't be able too when the 2011s hit the road.

Then again, then we'll finally have a v6 that's compareable to ours. That's going to be fun too! I can't wait for the 2011s to start showing up, as it is, it's no fun playing with the 2010 and under.

Then again, who knows what the 2011 Camaro will bring? Might wait for 2012, see if the 2011 Mustang lives up to the hype like the Camaro did.

No, I've actually been in a new 5.0

An older Mustang 5.0 was in front of me and floored it, I nailed the SS and jump on him so fast I almost hit him. Lesson learned, don't do that with Mustangs they are slooooooooowwwwwww. Maybe the 2011 will be faster.

Form my experience in the new 5.0 (6spdM w/3.31s) , they will be just as fast as a stock 03-04 Terminator. Faster with 3.73s.

serious we all on here if u read agree that the 2011 Mustang GT going to be faster.. but sorry to break it to u a stock 2011 Mustang GT when it comes out aint blowing my doors off..

ahh dah.. i said that..

that was given to magazine by ford.. couple months ago.. If numbers true nobody ever knows.. factories lie all the time.. like my dodge they said it had 230HP at flywheel went to dyno it put down 222 to the wheels.. factories lie so to fool insurance companies and competitors.. no one will know the truth till the car comes out..
magazine with the 3600lbs r all guessing..

and no reason to start a war.. i like mustang. almost bought one but ford wouldnt give me the deal I wanted.. though id be pissed if I did by it then 6months later there is a V6 mustang that could hang with my GT.. Id been so pissed..

Let cobra jay and the mustang guys have some fun. It is the first time in almost 20 years that a GT can hang with a camaro stock for stock year to year. Even ls1 cars can beat the new GT cars.

It is something for them to be EXTREMELY excited about. I know I would be if I was getting slapped around for two decades

yea and stock for stock.. a 2004 Mustang GT couldnt hang with my 2004 SRT4 on highway pulls..
and 2009 Mustang GT couldnt hang with my 2010 Camaro SS stock for stock..

Lastest spec sheet from ford now that I checked has been changed and its set at 3,720lbs for manual.. estimated..
though automatic 100lbs lighter.. something screwie there.. all estimated nothing solid

just checked now the first specs sheet i had was for the V6.. its going to be heavy..
