Thanks!
The way I read that is on the SS , you can enable the feature any rpm 5000 and above and the RPM will only rise to 6400 rpm during the shift. On the 1LE, same enable rpm of 5000, but it holds the RPM at 5000 during the shift. If you shift at 6400, it will hold the rpm at 6400, if you shift at 6000, it will hold the rpm at 6000 during the power shift.

No, the "Target RPM" is where the revs will settle after you enable NLS. No matter when you do it.

Al's answer shows the big difference between the My SS and SS/1LE -- I would prefer to have the 1LE target rpm of 5200 though....

so here's the question... if I get the 1LE "kit" from GM, it comes with a Tune... does this Tune give me the true 1LE Enable and Target RPM's for NLS hmmmm?

Why is the regular ss target rpm so high compared to the ss 1LE, any advantage?

Drag race vs road race usage, maximum acceleration vs driving around a track fast?

Don't really know.

This seems to go against the conventional way nls works. Why would you want your target rpms to be higher than where you shifted from given the next gears required rpm will be lower. So in his example you shift at 5k hit 6400rpm and drop it into the next gear it's still going to provide some serious drivetrain shock where as aftermarket nls units kill power momentairly so that when you hit the next gear your rpms are right where they should be wheb you let off the clutch. But hey on the bright side it's been confirmed and we can put this one to rest!
