install mylink in 2011 with no adapter harness?

I have a 2011 2ss car and ive found a junkyard that has a newer camaro with the mylink, the salvage car is a v6. I can get all the wires off the car if i need to so my question is, Can i swap over the dash wiring harness from the salvage car along with the mylink and not have to buy the adapter harness? or are the v6 harnesses different than the v8 cars?

You will need the adapter harness and the mylink will need to be reprogrammed

FWIW, if you’re not determined to keep the stock look, going with a good aftermarket unit is going to be a lot cheaper. Between the buying of a used head unit, buying the harness and the programming and the fact that you have to find a place to put the door lock button I decided to just go aftermarket.

what does the harness and reprogramming run typically? I have thought about going aftermarket but i do like the factory look. How hard is it to add a reverse camera to the mylink?
