Talking Greetings from Alaska!

Hey everyone, super excited, obviously, to finally officially be a part of this community. I've lurked about here for quite some time - finally made a profile a few days ago when I picked up my car.

2011 Silver Ice SS 2SS M6
64,000 miles
Seems stock other than the previous owner deleted the mufflers, which honestly sounds nice, in my opinion.

Bummed to be bringing it back to the dealer already with a crunchy 2nd gear and will randomly pop out of 2nd, but to my surprise, the dealer said they would fix it with no question. So, I'm assuming that will be the end of the driving season for the up here as it's going to be a summer car.

Though my pockets aren't that deep, I do plan to do the normal bolt-on modifications and if I can find an acceptable cam for daily driving, I'll go that route as well.

I worked at a car dealer as a courier in 2011 when these cars were making their way to Alaska and it has been a dream to own one ever since. I remember when the first ZL1 came to Alaska. Even before that I was always a fan of the IROC era. It seems surreal at times to see this parked in my driveway.

I've never owned a vehicle with a sun roof, anything to prevent those from leaking over time given I'm in a colder ice filled environment for a solid 6 months?

Looking forward to reading everyone's posts.

I don't know how I didn't know that... but, sure enough! Helps prevent dry rot, cracking, UV protection, etc, and yes, we have that here! haha We have most things. Some things are just harder to find or have to order and take longer to get here. Can't just drive to the next state and pick it up lol pros and cons to being isolated.

Edit: I will definitely add some pictures.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
