At least in a good way, in this instance - saw this poster at the post office today!

Cool stamps!

A friend in high school had a Cougar that looked very much like the one pictured. Olive Green with the black vinyl top. Not an XR-7 but it was still a cool ride. Sadly he wrapped it around a tree one night; he was a little bruised and battered but otherwise ok but the car was not. It was totaled. This was the early 80s so it was before the run up in prices for these cars.

Your friend's Cougar story is so sad. Through the image on the stamp, I can also see the attractiveness of this model.
