BLACK WHEEL CLEANING

So today I decided to try something new to clean my black wheels.

I took each wheel off to clean them.

First I cleaned them off with Windex.

Next I waxed them with Adam's Buttery Wax.

Next I sprayed them with Armor All Wheel Protectant.

I can tell you the Armor All Wheel Protectant added a whole new level of glossy to them ever after they were cleaned and waxed.

Now I just hope they repel the brake dust as advertised.... there is no way I'm taking the wheels off to clean them every time... Maybe 1x per year or so.

I don't know if the pictures will do justice for the before and after affect.
Top pic = before
bottom pic = after

UPDATE: 4 hours after application - There was a slight haze on the wheels.... maybe because I waxed them before the Armor All Wheel Protectant or maybe because I applied the AAWP in about 58-60 degree weather and it's very humid today (they say apply in 65 or over). I wiped the haze off with a microfiber towel. They still feel very smooth and look even better than before the haze... they look like black chrome... hopefully the haze doesn't return.

Looks great GB EB, from the photo there seems to be a difference. Is the brake dust as bad as they say on these black wheels? My ride is sitting in the garage waiting for spring. I'm going to use a mother's power cone and some rim wax by smartwax. Anyone ever use it? Hope it works, was somewhat expensive but it smells great lol

While my wheels are chrome, I used Brasso, then sealed them with Rejex. Rejex is super glossy and slick. Brake dust comes off easily. It can be applied to paint, chrome, glass and plastic. Rejex was first developed for military aircraft use.

I use all Adams products. All purpose on tire, deep wheel cleaner, then pain sealant, brilliant glaze, and buttery way. Makes them super shiny also the paint sealant helps protect for the longer haul. I can clean them by just spraying them off and hitting them with some detail spray.

BINGO!

Either of our Sealant are great on wheels, especially the Quick Sealant since it's an aerosol. Makes easy work on those hard-to-reach places on your wheels!

I think the wheels look great. I just pulled my off and cleaned them. So how do you plan to clean the inside if you don't take them off? And yes, the brake dust is horendous.
