GM's selection of Camaro's at dealerships near me is next to zero.

Sad.

OK, The MAJOR - YES MAJOR Sticking point for me on my 2015 (and S550) Mustangs is the convertible has a @$*&%@*$&% Antenna -this is 2020s WHO THE (Q#&@^%(@*^ Puts an antenna on a vehicle...

And the pictures of the S650 show an antenna! SERIOUSLY!!!

While kudos to FORD for the V8 manual through 2030 but ANTENNA!!!

It's kinda funny you said that, because when I saw the pics on my MSN news feed, I thought the exact same thing!! I saw "camaro" in it. GM, take notes.. You're gonna lose out!! lol

I would 100% welcome a Dark Horse into the stable.

I’m super excited about this car. As a younger person I’m genuinely upset that I won’t be able to go through life owning multiple newer muscle/pony cars like people in the generations before me were able to. Ford is at least giving me the option to move into a newer gen pony car even though I prefer the Camaro and it’s push rod power. I’m strongly considering moving into one of these cars as long as pricing is similar to the s550.

Get in line now, I have a feeling once Chevy/Mopar guys don’t have any options they will flock to the Mustang. May be hard to get one!

The Dodge boys are out selling the Mustang as well.

If they could have found a way to make the interior a little more roomy it may have helped.

I loved the power and the weight reduction but I had a crammed into a sardine can feeling sitting in it.

Not bad looking. Watch out GM, because if you can't top Ford's ideas then I'll buy from the Ford's camp.

I'm quite liking this S650. Looks like they stole a bunch of design queue's from the Camaro (hood vent, wide rear, lower grille, etc), but it does look good. That Getrag MT82 box is still hot trash and I'm sure the Dark Horse with the Tremec will be a $60k+ car (probably over $70k w/dealer markups) so I'll be sticking with my 1LE for quite some time. Glad Ford is keeping the RWD muscle car market going while GM/Stellantis move to EV's.

The Performance Exhaust equipped GT's at 486/418 is a nice bonus.

I wonder if the EB's HPP will also return.

Another question is if the twin throttle body and revised intake manifold from the Dark Horse will actually serve as an improvement if swapped onto a GT350's VooDoo. I remember it being stated that the design of a twin throttle intake was scrapped but would have benefited the FPC engine significantly.

The weight will be a key factor.

Indeed.
If the preliminary tech specs that were released hold true, the only change listed is that the new EB gains 1lb. Other than that the numbers are identical to the 2023 specs.

Being preliminary, I'm sure they'll change. It's just odd that they would change 1 single entry by a single lb.

So that basically makes/leaves it the same weight as a 5th gen Camaro
