Stupid Idea? AT foot pedal shifter?

Is this a good or bad idea I cant tell: two switches on the dead pedal for the auto, the top switch shifts up, the bottom shifts down (or vice versa whatever). I'm trying to think of a project for making something out of other stuff.

I know "why not just use the steering wheel switches you dumbass?" but when your going through a turn the wheels upside down and my hands aren't anywhere near the switches.

Buy a Motor Cycle if you want to shift with your foot.

Never driven an auto camaro but can't you bump the shifter forward and back for that? I know my wife's car has that..

Keep it in "M" (Sport mode) and just let the tranny shift itself.
