Catch Can experiences
Hello,
I have decided to add a catch can to my 17 SS. I don't want to go cheap but I don't want to spend $400 for one either. What are your experiences for a quality can, ease of installation, clear instructions, everything included,,etc. I would like to hear from owners who have done this, not vendors selling please. Thanks |

There are very detailed discussions of catch cans that apply to all models in the V6 section. Look for posts by Polynesian Powerhouse.
I also have my installation for V6 on video: Pt 1 Pt 2

Catch cans have been talked about thoroughly. Your best bet is to use the search function and check out all the threads and info that has already posted.

See post 19 in this thread which shows the catch can made by UPR (their latest design). Very happy with the quality.

I use the Elite Engineering CC E2 Single. Mounting is no problem. Unfortunately there are no instructions but you can find a lot in the web. The hoses are just straight. The Mishimoto has curved/formed hoses is just a better look. The Efficiency is good on both of them. The general installation is always the same.

I've had the Mishimoto Can for a long time now, no complaints really. Always some black oil in the can when I check it every so often so it seems to be doing it's job. Mounting looks OEM, very clean look in the engine bay and it goes for around $200 so it doesn't break the bank either.

I've had the mishimoto on my I4 Camaro for over a year now one thing is if you daily drive in colder climates you need to empty it almost weekly. They fill up super quick with condensation but outside of winter months they are perfectly fine and do a good job. Elite catch cans are also nice for N/A setups though.

Thanks for the feedback! Went with the Mishimoto ordered through Phasteck for $199.
