http://www.jeepforum.com has a "free parts" sub-forum in the classified section for people to list things they don't want or need any longer. Parts are typically offered to anyone who wants them as local pickup only items due to the cost of shipping.

My personal opinion would lean more towards a separate "free parts" section in the classified section because I think one huge thread seems like it's going to get messy.

At any rate, add me to the list because I think it's a great idea for fellow Camaro owners to help each other.

Rob
That does sound like a good idea, another option for the MODS

FWIW...

we aren't ignoring you..

Honestly we've been trying to figure out exactly where to put it. We're just as proud of this thread as you guys are...

We've been discussing this for a few days trying to come up with the best place for it...

Bear with us. we mean you guys no disrespect...

We've really started to refocus on cleaning up the sub forums... part of that is finding the best place for threads like this.

Respectfully,

Chris

Thanks for giving us some explanation. This really is a big part of what the Camaro5 community is about!

Thank you sir , You got it started, I just saw something awesome and thought it needed to be a fixture of our C5 Family. Thanks for the inspiration/thought!

Thanks for posting, I figured we weren't being ignored per say... I just see so much good coming from one thread that I think it would be detrimental for it not to have a proper home.

Again thanks for posting and I look forward to the end state.

I'm for the sticky (Love how that sounds hahaha)

This thread will do more GOOD than harm. The person making the donation should always have the last say in who their items go to. This negates the potential for people wanting to take advantage of the idea. It may make it harder for new members to get something, but that's how life is. You don't show up to a family reunion after a 20 year absence and expect to be lavished with gifts right?

People will need to be responsible and adult in dealing with this though. If you request a part and it's given to someone else, don't give the other parties a hard time.

This is the kind of thread that would be a privledge for us to have stickied. We will need to police it and maintain it as a COMMUNITY. Not just leave it to the mods. People can get out of line really fast when it comes to "free stuff"
