Some very disappointed C8 owners today...

This really sucks for the affected owners, hopefully if they are sold orders they get replaced w/ priority.

And, at least they weren't Camaros!

Tragic. I can imagine how many of those cars were destined for owners that have been waiting months.

Hopefully they were all headed to dealers that were going to stick them on the lot for $25k over msrp.

Now this is some BS. How TF are all these highly desirable cars these days constantly getting into these situations. Didn't a truckload of GT500s overturn? And didn't something happen to another truckload of C8s last year? This seems very suspicious man. No effing way these are all accidents. Damn flammable trucks carrying fuel don't be catching fire but these are? I smell BS.

Even worse would be truck of ramen that overturned. Tragic. $25 of product lost.

I think the fire will improve the aesthetics of those C8's.

Ya know - I didnt want to go there but Im glad you did. To each their own of course and styling opinions are just that..... opinions. That being said, I find the C8 hopelessly UNattractive. Ive seen 3-4 up close now and seeing them in person doesnt fix whats wrong.

They tried way too hard to make it look like a Lambo or <insert any other hyper car here>. Its not working. Its all wrong to me. The proportions seem off. It doesnt look like a Corvette and going to a mid-engine layout to mimic the Italians/English didnt work for me. The Vette since Day 1 has been like Grandmas cookie recipe: Its good as is and you dont !@#$ with it. Front engine, rear drive, longer front and slightly shorter rear section. They could have smoothed out the usual styling and still had it look like a Corvette.

In my personal opinion, of course.

If I got a Corvette today, it would be a C7. I just think the C7 is a better looking Corvette. That being said, whomever was waiting to get their new C8 delivered, I feel very sorry for them.
