Inside sound level
What is the inside DB level at 70 mph in the 20212ss convertible?

I just gotta ask
Why would you buy a convertible if you had even the smallest concern of sound level? |

Why don't you just go test drive the car and download a db level meter app on your phone and find out for yourself.

some convertibles are louder than others. OP might be cross shopping with a different car and want to compare.

With the top down? Probably 90-100.

Don't know exact measurements, but the 6th gen vert's are noticeably quieter than the 5th gen

Having had a 2010 2LT, a 2014 2SS complete w/ Headers and a 3" catback exhaust and currently a 2020 2SS Convertible.
I can say that around town - 30-50 mph - there are no issues having a normal conversation with my wife. Windows down. Once I get up to 75-80mph - the noise is louder and it is a little harder to hear one another, even with one of the King Penn wind restrictors. Even with the windows up. I am pretty confident that the 2014 and the 2020 were about the same noise level @ 80 mph...

That said, having recently done a couple top-down trips on the highway, my Z with 9k miles and about 2mm remaining on the OEM tires is still quieter while cruising at 80mph on I-75 with the exhaust in track mode than the wife's Solara vert with new-ish michelin premier ASs. Much easier to have a conversation in my car. Your mileage may vary. |

Not only is it quieter then the last convertible I have owned (mustang GT) but there is almost none of the "convertible squeaks" you get driving over uneven or rough roads
