The problem with socialist policies is that it eliminates the prosperity from capitalism. If a product is good people will buy it without the added need for government interference. Mandating, increasing regulations, and restricting a functional product or of existence isn't capitalism. ESPECIALLY when we have an inadequate power grid, power sources (another regulate working systems out of existence), and all around infrastructure. I'm all for alternative energy sources, transportation, and new ideas in general, but don't crap on what is working in the name of "moving forward".
