Short Stick. Reuse black Oring and plastic piece from stock Shifter or no? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I just got done installing a stick in my 15 SS. It is the torque solution Stick but similar to LSR or LG. I reused the oring and black plastic circle piece and reinstalled. I now have a plastic type vibration/rattle in the shifter. I am using the stock Hurst Knob. The boot under seems perfect and on. This rattle seems more like from the plastic ring. No instructions so looking for some help.

Just took the car for a more extensive drive. It's worse than I thought. The shifter has tons of vibration through the handle under load. It's worse in 2-4 than 1 and 3. I "hear" more noise in the shifter housing as well, like things spinning. This is all with music off. Music on it's only really 2-4 under load that is the issue. Regardless of the boot underneath this is real vibration not rattle. If the black plastic collar piece from the OEM handle is upside down what happens? Handle can be installed 180 backwards? Thoughts?
