Quick question about gas
So, I got my car two days ago, I just filled up today, but had about a quarter of a tank left, now I have NO idea what gas my dealer put in it, but I highly doubt it was premium, idk.
The gas cap says premium so I put 91 in it today, what would happen if I ended up mixing gases unintentionally? |

Well the dealer should have used premium.
Nothing bad happens if you mix different octanes. That's how you get mid-grade. The gas station only stores regular and premium. The pump mixes the two for mid-grade. |

if you mixed 87 and 91 you would get 89 octane gas.
nothing will blow up.

I finally found a gas station with 91 octane today that was under 2 bucks a gallon. I have been using 92 and 93 that is still over 2.10 a gallon.

Just put in premium in the future, dealer filled my car before I picked it up the sales person had no idea as to the octane. We get 93 here and that is what I buy.

Most dealers around here have one pump out back and I'd sure be surprised if they used premium !

you'll be fine, as far as I know, there's no need to do a stupid fuse pull to reset.
