So I just got pulled over today for speeding down a road. What really makes me mad about it was that the officer was at the bottom of down hill curve and just sitting there with his radar waiting for some idiot (me). I tried talking to the officer about how I didn't notice the speed increase while I was coming down the hill. He didn't want anything to do with it and sadly still gave me a ticket. But, the thing I I hate the most is the big presence of cops there are on holiday weekends, but I understand why they're there. But really? In the middle of the day? I mean don't you have better things to do then to sit at a bottom of a hill? ...Anyways, now I have probably a $200+ ticket that I have to pay off which is going to be a bitch in itself.

Been there, feel your pain. But, somebody has to pay the governor, as taxes and fees and surcharges and more taxes and then even more taxes just don't cover it.

Basically what you are saying is that you are not mad that you were speeding, you are mad that you got caught.
Traffic incidents are a huge problem on heavily traveled holidays, the officer was looking for any traffic violation, not just a speeding infraction. Buy a fuzzbuster, pay your fine, slow down and get over it.

I drive like there's a cop around every corner since I got a ticket for over 90 in a 65 in my SS.
I suggest you plead not guilty and argue your case in court if you can in Georgia. That's what
I did and got my speeding ticket reduced to a seat belt violation. 0 points vs 6 !!. Almost any
reasonable excuse will be considered in court.

Public safety man. Sure, it sucks when you get a ticket and you can fight it if you feel wrongly ticketed. Accidents and alcohol are a common thing any time of day, and more worse on holiday weekends. That's when we all have to be more careful especially with more cars on the street. It's Labor day weekend.

I would highly suggest getting a lawyer and paying the $300 for him. Don't just pay the ticket because your insurance rates will get jacked up and you'll get points on your license.
