Anyone regret muffler delete?

I'm going to go with a dual/dual exhaust tip setup once the SS comes out of storage and I'm thinking of maybe going muffler delete since it will be in the shop anyway. Has anyone gone in this direction and switched back or regrets the decision?

Thanks in advance.

I've seen posts from several that have and several that haven't. It comes down to how much drone you can deal with.

I'm regretting it only after adding headers. I will be changing the exhaust system but not with stock mufflers...

This seems to be the common theme in the treads i've read. It's not too bad when you have two restrictive cats muffling the exhaust. Once you free up the exhaust flow, the drone and raspiness becomes too much.

Yup, nail on the head. With LT's and a supercharger, I'm pretty sure I can break glass from 2 blocks away. Don't get me wrong, it's mean as hell but you don't necessarily want it to always be that loud around the neighborhood.

Its great for an otherwise stock Camaro, with Lts or highflows it can get a lil over the top.

I have Borla shorties and Solo high flow cats, might have to rethink this.

I like the sound stock with muffler delete. Will be adding headers in the next week and will update what I think about it.

I love my setup. Kooks Long tubes, high flow cats and Magnaflow #16582 muffler delete! Sounds mean and throaty but it does drone a bit. I don't mind it though. I get a lot of compliments on it. I even caught a compliment from a gentlemen driving a 68' today.

This ^^^^^^^ I have an LS3 with LTs /Cats into stock H with Resonators and Muffler delete. Its not a DD car. I love the sound during cruising and under light throttle. Under heavy throttle its no good. Just rasp and drone and twang. I just ordered the Magnaflow resonated X. Gonna have that put in this week.

I bought a solo axle back with jpipes but decided I wanted to only do the exhaust once and felt I would not be happy with just a muffler delete like set up. bit the bullet and went Stainless works retro chambered catback, and love the sound!
