Ordering My C7... the Rest of the Story...

Everyone knows about my dislike for "Corvette Snobs".

Everyone also knows the story about trading in my ZL1 and ordering my C7... now you're going to hear the rest of the story...

...When I was ordering my C7 last fall, this guy('11 ZR1 owner), who used to be a member of the CVCC(kicked out for conduct unbecoming), walked into the office and asked how I could afford a C7.

My buddy, the Fleet Manager, told him it was none of his business, but if he had to know... "He doesn't go out boozing, womanizing, or do drugs. Works all the OT at work they give him and again it's none of your business."

He asked if it was stick or automatic and I told him automatic cuz I used to drive a truck for a living and was over the "shifting thing".

He was asked to leave the office and the dealership.

Fast forward now 10 months... and my my my how the mighty have fallen!

The "ZR1 Snob" is trying to sell his ZR1 and get an automatic C7. It would seem he broke his wrist, did permanent damage, and is unable to shift his car anymore.

I never wish evil on anyone, but isn't karma fickle?

Definitely none of his business, being a younger Vette owner I get asked this all the time and often with a belligerent tone.

Getting thrown out of a car club for conduct should be a wake up call.

I am 67 worked hard my entire life and when I mention to someone I have a Corvette on the way they are incredibly rude; "how much does it cost", "you can afford that?" "I can't afford that". etc. I teach in a college and I find the students I mention it to are genuinely happy for me it's the older people that say the dumb stuff usually.

Karma took 10 months to catch up with the other guy.

I'd say around March of 2015, she should start looking over her shoulder cuz karma might just be following her.
