Shifting the 7-speed. Thoughts

I just picked up the corvette drove to meet the guys & have a drink then drive home..
Find when shifting to 5th I hit 7th gear alot..
Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, it's tricky with the gate so close. The shifting is so smooth but going into fifth is almost intuitive as much as a learned technique. I'm just into the sixth day of enjoying the yellow beast. Boy, do I love the air intake and exhaust sounds. Especially in sport and track modes.

Theres setting where u can make exhaust note in sport/track default one I believe..

I can feel the long move to 7th but always have move back over then feel the wall for 5th.. maybe over timd ill get better but can see fast shifting racing into 7th lol

I've not found the default setting for the exhaust sound. But, I'm learning the menu. Happy shifting!

I also saw where you can disable the 1st to 4th forced shift.

On every vehicle that I've ever seen, it's as simple as buying a cheap pigtail with a resister in it, and putting that between the wire to the solenoid that controls it and the normal plug.

GCC. I just figured that out today. Thanks for the help though. Now I can drive in Econo Mode and sound like Sport and Track modes! Great engineering default for us who like ear candy. And its sweet.

Yeah awesone they built all these settings u can modify. Exhaust. . Dash default screen..

Odd. I have the opposite problem. I go for 7 and hit 5th. If you go from second to 7th, it will be locked out. I've tried. It takes a second before it will give you that gate. 7th really feels far away from 5th to me. I definitely haven't missed 5th yet.

Well I dont actually go into 7th it us far but just miss 5th being too far right but getting better now lol
