Did you guys see SGMP Pony Wars IV, March 17th? Started a thread in the southeast regionals. No flyer yet, but I know there is an AWESOME event planner in this club!!

Thanx for the B-day wishes! So I was reading Road & Track's column on the ZL1. It says that the car runs 12.30 in the 1/4 mile with 580 hp? If that's true then why can I run a 12.60 without even knowing how to drive the car yet?...I'm positive it can do 12.30 right now with a good driver and I know I have less than 500 hp. I guess I'm trying to figure out; why should I spend $56,000 for almost no gains at the track?
Does anyone have a thread with different ZL1 track testing numbers? I sure would like to see some better numbers.

Thanks for the shout out! I hate to say it, but it looks like Pony Wars is gonna have to take a backseat for the planner this year. I will be down in Bradenton for the NMCA LSX challenge that weekend. You guys have fun without me. :(

Hell....that's what I was thinking. I'm at 12.36 with a bolt-on L99.

However the "published" numbers on the ZL1 are in the 12.1's. I'm sure that just like ours....these cars have more in them after the break-in period (and a little tinkering). However, having said that...I still have another $15,000 I could put in my car before I hit $56,000. That ought to get me a Supercharger and a good enough rear end to hurt that ZL1's feelings.

Guess the Steeda guys wanted to schedule it with the NMCA LSX conflict in mind as the more serious LS-powered cars wouldn't be able to make it, LOL!
